Biography
Adjunct Professor of Radiology at the University of Bologna, Italy. He is qualified as full professor of Radiology by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research. He has participated in numerous research programs. He has designed and coordinated research projects winner of national and international calls (as principal investigator, in the field of diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology, projects for more than 1 million $).
He has authored over 170 articles, 19 book chapters and has contributed to over 280 works presented at congresses worldwide. He has served as editor for different journals – currently guest editor for Radiologic Clinics of North America and for Seminars in Musculoskeletal Radiology. He is also member of the editorial board of different journals.
More than 130 lectures or moderations as faculty at congresses and courses. He is an active member of multiple societies and specialty subcommittees and the current elected chairman of the Osteoporosis; Metabolism subcommittee of the ESSR, and co-chairman of the Imaging & Tracer platform of A_IATRIS (Italian Advanced Translational Research Infrastructure). Member of the ISS Scientific Session Committee, and of multiple committees at ESSR and ESR. Member of the organizing and scientific committees of several congresses – e.g. ESSR, ECR.
